This decorative variation
of the Backstitch involves making a second pass
on the stitching line to whip a second thread, often in
a contrasting color, through the stitches. Use a needle
with a blunt needle, such as a tapestry needle, and take
care not to pierce the fabric The drawing exaggerates
the second thread's looping - in reality, the second thread
will lie much closer to the backstitch foundation. |
