The Tulip Stitch is a composite of a Lazy Daisy Stitch and a Straight Stitch. The finished stitch looks like a tulip blossom.

Start with a Lazy Daisy Stitch (Step 1). Make the securing stitch a little long (Step 2). The Straight Stitch is looped under the securing stitch (Steps 3 & 4).
