SWORD EDGE STITCH
 
The Sword Edge Stitch is like a Fly Stitch with the securing stitch being a loop instead of a Straight Stitch.

Start with a Straigth Stitch (Step 1). Keep this stitch slightly loose. Next, loop the needle under the stitch, without piercing the fabric (Step 2). Finish the loop directly under the crossing point (Step 3).
 


Finished Stitch:
 
When stitched at a different angle, the Sword Edge Stitch looks like a Cross Stitch with an extra twist in it.
