This stitch is made
just like the Outline Stitch
, but with the needle
slanted a little bit. The line of stitches is a bit thicker
that with a regular Outline Stitch.
Take care that the stitch lie right next to each other,
with no fabric showing between them, just as in the Satin Stitch
. If you want to raise the
stitches, lay a foundation of Basting Stitches
along the stitching
line, and stitch the Slanted Outline Stitch around it.
This is a popular stitch for Whitework Embroidery.
